Three Hundred and Forty-One

Friday, May 20

Chocolate wafers.

Like Coffee Crisp but somewhat less delicious. I'll settle for them though, because you can only get Coffee Crisp in Canada. And these do still have chocolate all over them. So I mean, come on.

Three Hundred and Twenty-Nine

Sunday, May 8

Mother's Day snacks.

Strawberries, pineapple, grapes; artisan bread; two aged cheddars, one with Irish whiskey and one with Irish stout; chocolate-covered almonds; white wine.

Three Hundred and Fifteen

Sunday, April 24

Dark chocolate covered almonds.

I could eat an entire box in about one day flat.

Two Hundred and Ninety-Six

Tuesday, April 5

Chocolate.

72% is right around where I like to stay, chocolate-wise. Though I wouldn't say no to a nice bar of 84%...if anyone was wondering.

Two Hundred and Eighty-Eight

Monday, March 28

Chocolate milkshake.

Creamy, chocolaty and ice cold. I think one should consume very few things that don't meet those three criteria.

Two Hundred and Seventy-One

Friday, March 11

Marble pound cake.

This was the most tender cake ever! I used bitter chocolate so it wasn't overly sweet, which I liked. I should make this again. Now.

Two Hundred and Sixty-Two

Wednesday, March 2

Mocha Viennese swirls.

These are perfect with tea or coffee. A short dough mocha cookie with a very light, sandy texture. Dipped in dark chocolate and topped with a sliced almond.

Two Hundred and Forty-Six

Monday, February 14

Chocolate walnut bars.

Caramel, walnuts, chocolate, what's not to love?! I'll tell you: nothing. There is nothing not to love.

Two Hundred and Twelve

Tuesday, January 11

Chocolate eggnog.

Another Trader Joe's specialty that is only available at the end of the year. Snagged this right before they stopped carrying it. A combination of something I like (chocolate) and something I would adopt as my child if it had any human qualities, which I'm thankful it doesn't because then I couldn't drink it (eggnog).

Two Hundred and Ten

Sunday, January 9

Chocolate milkshake.

I love me some chocolate milkshake. I like to keep it simple: banana, ice, milk, chocolate syrup. Garnished with chocolate shavings.

One Hundred and Eighty-Four

Tuesday, December 14

Peppermint bark.

Thank you for existing, Trader Joe's. And for providing this seasonal delicacy. Peppermint-infused dark chocolate, white truffle fudge and chunks of peppermint candy cane. I think this is why we were meant to eat.

One Hundred and Fifty-Eight

Thursday, November 18

Chocolate cookies.

This is my standard chocolate chip cookie recipe, with a couple twists. We experiment with Stevia where I work, so I used that instead of sugar. That means the cookies won't spread, which is what gives them their puffy shape. We didn't have chocolate chips so I used cocoa powder. I thought they were pretty good, and the kids aren't picky...wait, yes they are. They liked them, too.

One Hundred and Thirty-Five

Tuesday, October 26

Kahlua cupcake.

Chocolate chocolate chip kahlua cupcake with kahlua frosting...pretty much yes. These were SO good!

Eighty-Nine

Friday, September 10

Chocolate ice cream.

Nothing like homemade ice cream to satisfy your craving for homemade ice cream.

Also, this is probably my favorite ice cream.

Fiddy-Nine

Wednesday, August 11

Chocolate chip cookies.

Jen and I made these, using a really great recipe I found on foodnetwork.com a couple years ago. Also good chipless.

(This is a shout-out to Matt Oakes. Holler at my boy.)

Two

Chocolate gelato with Almond Roca chunks.

It's been really hot today so gelato seemed like a good idea (it was). Italian is 2 for 2 now, Mrs Stepp....
