Twenty-Two

Monday, July 5

Pancakes.

Pre-bedtime snack, drizzled with chocolate syrup. I don't usually cook with mixes, but this was pretty tasty.

[ Happy 17th birthday, Jess! ;) ]

Twenty-One

Sunday, July 4

Crunchwrap Supreme.

I walked around at the Taste of Chicago all day on the 4th, eating all kinds of delicious food, like Chicago-style deep-dish pizza and vegetable tempura, but guess who didn't have her camera. Ah well.

Anyway, this is probably my favorite item on Taco Bell's menu. A flour tortilla around a crisp corn tortilla, tomatoes, lettuce, ground beef, refried beans, sour cream, hot sauce...and then grilled. I would eat this every day.

Twenty

Saturday, July 3

Minestrone soup.

Lunch at the Olive Garden. It's been a really long time since I've had minestrone, and I definitely don't remember it being as good as this was. I was pretty impressed.

Nineteen

Friday, July 2

Cheese pizza.

This was from Beggar's Pizza in Chicago. I could make a witty correlation but suffice it to say, I've had better.

Eighteen

Scrambled egg and chili beans.

Ahh, the high life. This was actually really good, I put some fresh cracked pepper in it. Seriously, that pantry has some real gems inside.

Chicken & Broccoli Rice-A-Roni.

Staying at a friend's house while they're out of town, stumbled upon their pantry, found Rice-A-Roni. Jackpot. More like THE COLUMBUS TREAT, am I right?!

Tuesday, June 29

Granola bar.

This was a day full of plane snacks and granola bars. Since my camera was in the overhead compartment during both flights, my featured food is a land-based granola bar by default.

I think this is Nature Valley's chewy Fruit & Nut...one of the best granola bars ever. Highly recommended.
