Two Hundred and Seventy-Six

Wednesday, March 16

Jambalaya.

My take on a Cajun classic, with sauteed diced turkey breast and sausage instead of shrimp and pork. Topped with parmesan, scallions and parsley.

Two Hundred and Seventy-Five

Tuesday, March 15

Pasta & meatballs.

An orzo and spinach "risotto," topped with Italian beef meatballs and mozzarella.

Two Hundred and Seventy-Four

Monday, March 14

Beer.

San Miguel Dark, to be exact. A favorite in this household.

Two Hundred and Seventy-Three

Sunday, March 13

Egg drop soup.

If I were to be asked, "do you like egg drop soup?" I would feel compelled to answer it with another question: "is it Chinese?" In future, save yourself the trouble of asking. Chinese food is good.

Two Hundred and Seventy-Two

Saturday, March 12

Sausage fajitas.

Sauteed bell peppers and onions with apple & gouda sausage, smothered with hot sauce and wrapped up in a big tortilla. I could probably eat some fajita variation every night.

Two Hundred and Seventy-One

Friday, March 11

Marble pound cake.

This was the most tender cake ever! I used bitter chocolate so it wasn't overly sweet, which I liked. I should make this again. Now.

Two Hundred and Seventy

Thursday, March 10

Pasta y fagioli.

Orzo and various beans and lot and lots of parmesan. Those Italians really know what's what.
