Three Hundred and Thirty-Two

Wednesday, May 11

Salad.

Chicken, pears, walnuts, goat cheese and baby lettuce, drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with salt & pepper. So refreshing.

Three Hundred and Eleven

Wednesday, April 20

Pear & cottage cheese.

Not much to say about this, other than that it's so spoon-licking good. Cottage cheese plain? Delicious. Pears plain? Delicious. The two together? That much more delicious.

One Hundred and Forty

Sunday, October 31

Poached pears.

Fresh pear halves, poached in spiced red wine (cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, rosemary and black pepper), on a bed of baked custard, drizzled with a red wine caramel and sprinkled with rosemary and black pepper. We all thought it was delicious, although the caramel got a bit hard to control the more it cooled. I still liked it, though.

One Hundred and Nine

Thursday, September 30

"Cafe wrap."

Chicken, pear, baby spinach, sliced almonds, bleu cheese, raspberry cream cheese and red wine vinaigrette. I would go back to Deep Creek just for this.

Forty-Seven

Friday, July 30

Pear and gorgonzola pizza.

Dinner at the California Pizza(zz) Kitchen, following Marcus & Melanie Handy's wedding rehearsal. Really delicious, topped with fresh greens and a light bleu cheese dressing.

"It's like someone took a salad and a pizza and put them together. Or like someone took a pizza and put salad on top. Or like someone had a salad, and they just put it on their pizza." - Anthony Populo
