Three Hundred and Twelve

Thursday, April 21

Chinese food.

Thanks to the chefs at Rancho La Scherpa for this. Beef & broccoli, veggie spring rolls and salad with kidney beans, black olives, cheese, and probably Ranch(o) dressing.

Two Hundred and Eighty-One

Monday, March 21

Chinese medley.

I tried my hand at beef siu mai and was pleasantly pleased at the result. Basically, they're Asian-spiced meatballs clothed in wonton wrappers. Also, orange chicken and garlic roasted asparagus.

Two Hundred and Seventy-Three

Sunday, March 13

Egg drop soup.

If I were to be asked, "do you like egg drop soup?" I would feel compelled to answer it with another question: "is it Chinese?" In future, save yourself the trouble of asking. Chinese food is good.

Two Hundred and Forty-Three

Friday, February 11

Kung Pao chicken.

Most of you probably know by now that Chinese is my favorite food in the whole world. I love everything about this: the tiny chunks of chicken, the sweet and tangy glaze with the punch of heat, the crunchy peanuts, the soft rice...the drool collecting on my desk...

Two Hundred and Twenty-Two

Friday, January 21

Stir-fry ginger beef.

Chinese food has to be my favorite cuisine, so I love making it at home. Thin strips of beef and ginger, green bell peppers, green onions, and all sorts of delicious sauce ingredients. Served with sauteed garlic green beans.

Two Hundred and Seventeen

Sunday, January 16

Chinese food.

Thank you, Panda Inn, for always being there when we need you. Clockwise from top right: steamed rice, veggie eggroll, sauteed garlic string beans, Mongolian beef, orange chicken, cashew chicken.

Ninety-Two

Monday, September 13

Beef & broccoli.

I saw a commercial for that fancy dog food and decided Chinese sounded good. So I made beef & broccoli, served with rice.
