Two Hundred and Seven

Thursday, January 6

Creamy chicken and risotto.

Sauteed chicken in a cream sauce with rosemary, poultry seasoning, artichokes and a splash of white port. Served on a bed of risotto.

Two Hundred and Six

Wednesday, January 5

Creamy sweet potato & rosemary soup.

This was waiting for me when I got back from my trip. I'm not the biggest sweet potato fan but this was really tasty. Served with olive oil & rosemary sourdough. It was good, Mom.

Two Hundred and Five

Tuesday, January 4

Southwestern casserole.

Bell peppers, corn, chili beans, and a bunch of other stuff that I was too busy stuffing my face with to stop and identify. Really delicious. Served with a cranberry/orange/almond salad and balsamic vinaigrette. Nicely done, Janice Walsh.

Two Hundred and Four

Monday, January 3

Chimay slushie.

That's right. Frozen and thawed beer. I don't mind telling you it was delicious. Icy, concentrated beer. Thanks to absent-mindedness and Justin Jordan, not necessarily in that order.

Two Hundred and Three

Sunday, January 2

Soft taco.

Taco Bell = my favorite roadtrip food.

Two Hundred and Two

Saturday, January 1

Sticky toffee pudding.

Another of Oma's masterpieces. Cakey, gooey, rich & decadent, eight kinds of amazing. Served with a Dutch yogurt topping and a brown sugar rum sauce.

Two Hundred and One

Friday, December 31

Bread & jam.

Filipino bread with butter and orange marmalade. I was all about this, and the green tea accompaniment. Totes delish.
