Two Hundred and Sixty-Eight

Tuesday, March 8

Turkey sandwich.

I'm telling you. Sandwiches are what's up. Sliced turkey breast, brie, mesclun lettuce, cranberry sauce, tangerine zest, all on soft, delicious sourdough. Served with tangerine slices. Yeah. Mom knows what's up. Sandwiches.

Two Hundred and Sixty

Monday, February 28

Sandwich.

Toasted cracked wheat sourdough, hugging a pile of thinly sliced turkey, cucumber slices, mayo, dijon, salt & pepper. Sandwiches are the best thing to ever happen since sliced bread.

I mean happen to sliced bread.

One Hundred and Fifty-Two

Friday, November 12

Turkey salad sandwich.

We had leftover turkey in the fridge (when is Thanksgiving...? haha jk Mom) so I made a really simple turkey salad with ranch dressing and celery salt, and slapped it on some toast with tomato. Served with apple and tortilla chips, this was like the best meal I've ever had. Or I was just really hungry.

One Hundred and Sixteen

Thursday, October 7

Turkey & strawberry sandwich.

I am a firm believer in fruit on sandwiches. This beauty was chock-full of turkey, sliced strawberries, baby lettuce, aged white cheddar, raspberry vinaigrette, and sprinkled with salt and black pepper. I was a big fan.

Eighty-Three

Saturday, September 4

Turkey sandwich.

Had a fabulous Greek dinner last night but, of course, I didn't have my camera. The meal was so good that I was inspired to go Greek for my second dinner, and that's when this sandwich happened. Turkey, tomato and tzatziki on whole wheat, with fresh cracked pepper.

Have I mentioned how much I love food?

Monday, August 16

BLT.

Turkey bacon, some kind of lettuce, roma tomato. And also turkey. Oh, and ranch dressing. On toasted whole wheat pane. Yum.

Thirty

Tomato sandwich.

Roma tomato, cream cheese, bleu cheese dressing, basil, oregano, salt and freshly cracked black pepper on whole wheat toast. I have been a huge fan of tomato sandwiches ever since that one movie with the chick from Matilda and maybe Rosie O'Donnell? I don't remember the title, nor do I think I watched the whole thing, but the Matilda chick ate a tomato sandwich and commented on how she was weird because she didn't have meat on it. I thought it sounded good, so I tried it. One more instance in which television promotes culinary experimentation.

Or just makes me hungry.

Twenty-Nine

Monday, July 12

Nectarine sandwich.

I am a big fan of fruit on sandwiches. It started with a peach & gouda sandwich. Then it was a pear & mozzarella panino. This time: nectarine, cream cheese & apple butter on toasted whole wheat. I really must give props to myself for grocery store produce selection, because this nectarine was perfectly ripe. Thank you, thank you.

Tuesday, July 6

Chicken sub.

Went to Subway.

Lindsay - "Hi, could I have a 6-inch turkey breast?"
Employee - "Chicken breast?"
Lindsay - "Yep."

A+ for correcting people.

I think I got "everything" on this, plus extra pickles and black olives, on honey oat bread. First time having jalapenos on a sandwich...not so sure about that.
